About the artist

At a young age, Kimberley began collecting antique chocolate molds with her mother Jeannie and the exciting journey of creating chalkware began. They started by first selling at a nearby shop, Artisan's Attic, in 1987. Kimberley was just sixteen when she approached the owners and asked if they would be interested in carrying their work. From there, they established a great following. After attending national shows and selling through representatives, Kimberley's work has been sold in hundreds of gift shops nationwide, including upscale galleries and museums.

"I feel that it is the encouragement and inspiration from my customers over the years that you see in my work today. When I receive their kind comments and feedback, I experience a real physical energy that drives me to create something new. I feel my work is part of an evolving spiritual cycle and I believe that has been appealing to folk art collectors."

Kimberley enjoys being a wife and mother in the same small New England town in which she grew up. She had to limit her work to devote more time to her family, and so her pieces are now limited in production.
